Why
It's important to measure employee engagement because it is a key determinant in the quality of employee satisfaction, as well as their happiness in their role and their performance at work.
Highly engaged team members tend to display greater motivation, higher productivity, and a deeper commitment to the work they do. They are more likely to go the extra mile and commit their full selves to the projects they are working on.
People with high levels of employee engagement also tend to be happier in general and report better levels of personal well-being.

Why we changed it: People answer this too much from a materialistic perspective.
Asked like this instead:
- I have enough written context (docs, issues, discussions) to do my work effectively.
- At work, I have the opportunity to do what I do best every day. (Gallup Q03)
- In the last 2 weeks, I have received recognition, appreciation, or praise for doing good work. (Gallup Q04)
- I feel socially connected to at least one person at the company.
- My supervisor, or someone at work, seems to care about me as a person. (Gallup Q05)
