Working in the renovated lobby of the Empire State Realty Trust building at 250 West 57th Street in New York proved challenging as maintenance access to the finished ceiling-mounted display is virtually non-existant.

To solve some persistent data corruption issues we replaced passive Ethernet couplers with a managed switch at the network demarc above the display, allowing us to better trace packet loss problems as well as provide an active redrive of the signal to the display.
