I’m not even going to attempt to make coherent notes on embryology, below is just the ultra-summarised info i focused on

Basically:

Face forms from - frontonasal prominences, maxillary prominences, mandibular prominences (mesenchyme)

Eyes form from diencephalon

Tongue - anterior 2/3 is from the 1st arch while the posterior 1/3 is form the 3rd arch

Ear - otic placode (rhombencephalon) for inner ear and 1st/2nd arch for external ear (auricular hillocks arise from mesenchyme of these arches and then fuse with each other to form pinna)

Thyroid forms from floor of the primitive pharynx between the 1st and second pouches

Parathyroid - inferior part forms from the 3rd pouch while the superior forms form the 4th pouch (as they grow they switch around)

The pharyngeal arches are what gives rise to most of the structures in the head and neck and they look like gills (her fish theory)

During neurulation the neural plate folds in on itself to form a neural tube. Neural crest cells also form.

The neural tube gives rise to the CNS. The neural crest gives rise to:
