If you receive an email, contact form submission, or mailed letter regarding your domain name, most likely, it is not a legitimate communication.

Email

Communications received via direct email could be legitimate, but please use caution.

If you receive an email from Google Domains, it is likely legitimate. Please see this article for more information.

But, because spammers can harvest your email address, they can make them look legitimate even when they're not. If you're unsure, please forward the email to us, and we will review it.

Contact Form Submission

There are a number of companies out there who use website contact forms to send domain name spam.

These companies will tell you that your domain name has been transferred to their service (it hasn't) or that it's expiring soon (which may be true, however, they are not the ones to handle this.)

You can safely ignore these communications.

Mailed Letter

Regardless of where your domain name is registered, you will never receive communications regarding your domain name through postal mail.

You can safely dispose of (or shred) any of these communications, no matter how urgent they seem.
