Do you want to turn your guided selling app into a lead generator? Ask your customers to share their email address on the advice page — and sign up for your newsletter! The email addresses you collect in your Aiden app(s) are immediately sent to your CRM/CDP for marketing automation purposes.

<aside> ⚠️ Aiden does not send emails on your behalf, so you’ll have to connect your Aiden app to your customer data platform to make sure a follow-up email is sent. For more on this, check out Step 2 below.

Step 1: Settings in Aiden


  1. Go to Conversation > 👉 Advice, then navigate to the Customer contact tab.
  2. Enable the toggle ‘Ask for customer email address’ and fill in a text for the call-to-action button.

  1. Fill in the header and intro text for the customer contact form:

  2. Optionally, you can enable a checkbox for the customer to tick. Use this to e.g. allow customers to sign up for your newsletter or agree with your privacy policy:

  3. Finally, complete the customer journey by adding a form submitted message that is shown once the customer has submitted their email address:

  4. Next, you’ll need to connect the Aiden app to your CRM or CDP to ensure that a customer will actually receive an email with their advice.

Step 2: Connect the app to your customer data platform


Once a customer shares their contact details, they will of course expect to be contacted! Depending on the call-to-action you used on the advice page, a customer will most likely expect to receive an email with their advised products immediately.
