Hi all - it's almost go-time!
I can't tell you how excited I am for this cram season. I wanted to share a few final thoughts before we get going.
Last week, I told the story of how I went from classroom teacher to CEO.
We're not just cramming, we're fighting for educational justice.
These are the values that guide our work
- 👨🏽🎓 student-first: Everything we do is about students. We are intentional about bringing student voices into our decisions and we center the student experience in our strategies.
- 👩🏽💻 innovative: We're in an outdated industry that needs a shake up. We think outside of the box and are progressive in how we can expand opportunities for all students.
- ✨ accessible: We are building an inclusive space for all young people to thrive as their authentic selves. Our content highlights marginalized voices to decolonize curriculum. We work to break down any barrier a student experiences so that Fiveable is safe and reliable.
- 🤝 collaborative: We work together in ways that center our strengths and help each other to level up. We practice kindness and respect toward each other and always assume best intentions. We emphasize transparency both within our team and to build in public.
- 🎈fun: We work hard, but we're not all about work. We celebrate the big and little things. We find ways to spark joy and create delightful moments. We make learning fun and engaging.
I'm always around in Discord if you have any questions, ideas, or want to say hey!
Tomorrow, we'll be introducing the cram teachers!
Best,
Amanda
