You lose interactivity in Illustrator but you can annotate the graph to add that information. Sometimes interactivity makes accessibility harder.
You can also export SVGs and use them to create interactivity in D3.
Ungroup everything with command+shift+G
Extend lines together to create more space to the right.
Group colors together that you want to keep stacked
Select the top colors, and scoot them over. They also have quick align options to move it down.
Extend the graphic out so it isn’t so tight on one corner.
