EigenWatch: A Restaking Risk Oracle for Ethereum

Abstract

EigenWatch is a restaking risk intelligence platform designed to help the Ethereum ecosystem evaluate, score, and monitor operators risk in the EigenLayer ecosystem. Built as a modular oracle and analytics suite, EigenWatch enables liquid restaking protocols, Actively Validated Services (AVSs), and stakers to assess slashing threats, operator reputation, and correlated risk exposure across the rapidly evolving restaking landscape.

Introduction

The emergence of restaking via EigenLayer has unlocked new economic bandwidth for Ethereum validators by allowing them to secure additional services beyond Ethereum's base layer. However, this innovation introduces new risks, such as slashing from AVS misbehavior, correlated validator failures, and complex multi-staking exposures. These risks are currently opaque, under-monitored, and unstandardized.

EigenWatch seeks to provide transparency, monitoring, and tooling to mitigate those risks. It acts as a trustless telemetry and analytics engine for restaking participants.

Problem Statement

Solution: EigenWatch

EigenWatch introduces a real-time operator telemetry and risk intelligence layer for Ethereum's restaking ecosystem.

Core Components:

  1. Risk Scoring Oracle: On-chain operator risk scores derived from uptime, AVS participation, slashing history, and performance metrics.
  2. Slashing Alerts Feed: A webhook + oracle API that notifies users and protocols of validator slashing events in real time.
