Backstory
Comes from a bankrupt noble family. They used to be great, but one of his ancestors attempted a coup against their liege, and the retaliation was devastating. Since then, they have sold most of their possessions, and his parents sent one child in every possible direction to try to regain the family honor and wealth, and Edgar was the unlucky youngest son, sent to try his luck in the dungeon.
He and his older brothers and sisters received the little money his family could invest to train them to seduce richer nobles, or achieve great military ranks, but Edgar received the worst destiny: to become a mage. From a young age, he endured terrible experiments to increase his magical prowess and studied to exhaustion nearly every day. Unfortunately, even with all of this, he was deemed “unfit” for any royal magic academy: his talent was just too little. Seen as a failure by family and society, his family sent him to the dungeon as a last resort to at least try to make their money worth with him.
