Meet Josie
<aside>
Josie Duraso (she/her) is a queer mystic, somatic therapist, and yoga teacher. She is earthy, soulful, and passionate about bringing people together to celebrate the magic of embodiment. Her teachings, rooted in eco feminism and eco spirituality, help people lovingly find freedom and home within their bodies.
With close to ten years of teaching experience, Josie has taught at festivals, conferences, and universities, led retreats, and assisted and led numerous yoga teacher trainings. She completed her 200 and 300 hour yoga teacher trainings at Happy-U Yoga Center with Karson McGinley and studied trauma-informed yoga with Hala Khouri and Kyra Haglund of Collective Resilience. She is also a certified integrative somatic trauma therapist through the Embody Lab ****with co-directors Nkem Ndefo, Dr. Arielle Schwartz and Dr. Scott Lyons.
When not teaching, you can find her reading in her hammock, exploring nature with her 3 dogs, and dancing under the moon with friends.
