Something personal that affects your daily progress?

It is important to let your leader be aware that something may be going on that could hinder performance. There is no need to go into details, it is not about gossip. A good leader will know how to organize and help you in difficult times.

Is something blocking you?

It can be technical, direct, indirect, about your internet connection, about priorities, etc. Better give notice than let time pass.

Is something bothering you? A complaint?

We're human, and that can be very broad. Speak up. But remember to complain constructively and have an open mind.

An update on an agreement during the last 1:1?

Take the lead here, show that you have made progress or managed to touch on the issue in question. Didn't do anything? Be honest and say so too. The leader is with you to understand why and find ways forward.

Ask and give feedback.

Feedback is always good, and live feedback is the best because it can be discussed and interpreted better than written feedback. Your leader won't always have something for you, especially if the 1:1s are very frequent Take the opportunity to give feedback too if you have some.

Question.

Do you have something different or new you'd like to do, try or learn? Do you miss something about your leader? Perfect. Communicate that. It could be something completely crazy. This will help them evolve and help you.

Nothing from above? Check on your IDP.

Use this time to go through the IDP, ask a question, ask for direction, give feedback about other team members, etc.
