Purpose of the steering group

The purpose of the steering group is to oversee the development of a specific outcome related to an SDIA roadmap activity (see roadmap). Members of the SDIA can participate in the steering groups and provide input, feedback and support. The execution of the work towards the objective/outcome is done by the SDIA staff and select members who are contributing their time & resources.

Current Objective

To collect cost information for the existing power infrastructure, the cost of a potential outage (risk) as well as the investment costs for a battery-based backup power system and assemble it into a first price estimate for a kWh with guaranteed availability (e.g. 99.95% or 99.999%)
