About the game

Duo Quest is a two player co-op deckbuilding game with a relationship-testing twist, that is set in a pixel art world.

In Duo Quest you and your co-op partner are Pal-adins, two heroes who fight against The Demon King and his three generals, to bring peace back to their world.

A unique blend of strategic combat, and powerful card combos gameplay, with an added twist of game mode called “Bondbreaker”, where the adventure will be periodically interrupted with a series of intimate, fun, and sometimes revealing questions posed separately to each player about their partner.

From "What is your partner's greatest fear?" to "How would your partner handle sharing desserts?" These questions test the depth of their knowledge and connection. Correctly predicting your partner's answers grants powerful card combos, turning your connection into a strategic asset.

New Features in the Demo

• Quick Play mode: Players can jump in and out with their favourite themes in a one-off battle!
• 2 New Nodes: A new Deck Edit room and Cursed Artifact room can be found during players’ runs, which will allow players to edit their deck and discover powerful new artifacts that will help in their journey!
• New Name Input UI: Players can now write their names simultaneously with controller support, and can also easily switch their names before every run, so they can play with someone new and take turns!
• New Questions: Of course, the heart of Duo Quest are its questions! We’ve added new, exciting questions to the demo so that players can continue to play with fresh questions every run!
• Shorter Bondbreaker Mode: As per feedback from the public playtest, we’ve reduced the number of turns in Bondbreaker Mode, improving the flow of the game.

Bugs & Possible Issues

This is an early release build, so we want to be fully transparent about a few known issues to ensure you have the best experience. We have attached a full list for you, but here are the key highlights:

1. Sometimes when answering monster questions, answer stamps (UI stamps that show who answered which question) will not show up.
2. In the Dungeons and Dragons encounter, players will need to use their mouse to clock on the dice to roll it.
3. IMPORTANT: Please note for this demo, it is still only ONE SAVE FILE. If you're playing this build for the first time, we suggest you start a new game (as the old save file is for the old build). Also, once you have completed the demo with everything unlocked, please note that STARTING A NEW GAME WILL AUTOMATICALLY OVERRIDE YOUR LAST SAVE. Meaning all your progress will be gone, so be careful!
