Five Good Friends is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all Members and workers and to prevent and reduce harm associated with people being impaired by drugs or alcohol at work.

Scope

This policy relates to all Five Good Friends workers (employees, Helpers, contractors).

Objective

The objectives of this policy are to:

• provide clear and documented guidelines regarding the Five Good Friends position on drugs and alcohol in the workplace,
• ensure high quality and safe services
• maintain the good welfare of workers, and
• ensure a safe working environment.

Policy Statement

All workers have the duty to take reasonable care for their own health and safety and ensure they don’t adversely affect that of others.  This means you must be fit and well enough to do your job, not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or use alcohol or illegal drugs while at work.
