Data Centers are continuously looking for renewable power supply to ensure climate-neutrality on one side and also to profit from constantly low costs of renewable generation while energy producers a looking for certainty in long-term planning of their investments in a zero-subsidy market. Modern Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) provide the legal framework to benefit both sides.

As a large consumer of electrical energy data centers can benefit from lower energy prices while at the same time having a positive environmental impact by supporting the energy market and grid via Demand Response programs. Green Supply Demand Agreement (Green SDAs) and Green Service Level Agreements (Green SLAs) allow the eco system of Energy Supply, Data Center and IT Customer to harmonize the energy consumption of data centers with required Quality of Service for customers and the currently available supply of energy on the market.
