Objective

Full 3-pass folder cleanup of /Users/samaguiar/Downloads per the folder-cleanup skill. Top-level deduplication, deep subfolder audit, then root-level reorganization into Sam's documented Downloads categories.

What shipped

Before: 201 loose root files, 67 root dirs, ~22 GB, 5,835 files total.

After: 2 legitimate root files (CLAUDE.md, CLAUDE-COWORK-DO-NOT-DELETE.md), 56 root dirs, same 22 GB (nothing deleted, everything staged).

Pass 1, top-level

• .DS_Store at root staged to _to_delete_2026-05-19/junk/.
• 9 hash-confirmed exact duplicate pairs staged to exact_dupes/. Pairs included aguiar-landing-pages (1)==(2), (3)==(4), (5)==(6), aguiar-landing-pages.zip==aguiar-landing-pagesV2.zip, Sam Aguiar Landing Page Concepts v2.zip==(1).zip, App Logo.jpeg==App Logo 2.jpeg, sa-sidebar-option-a-v2.zip==(1).zip, aguiar-orange-paintstrip.pdf==(1).pdf, Practice Areas Prototype v2.html==(1).html.
• 3 SKILL.md variants identified by frontmatter name and moved to claude_skills/: website-rules-new.skill.md, kimi-find-skills.skill.md, higgsfield-ops.skill.md.
• 6 zip+folder pairs staged to zips_already_extracted/.
• 18 UUID-named court PDFs renamed with case number, date, document type (cases 23-CI-007831, 26-CI-000872, 23-CR-00084, 09-CR-000749).
• 9 numbered folder variants staged to numbered_dupe_folders/: aguiar-landing 1–4 (kept 5 as biggest+newest, renamed back to aguiar-landing/), deployment-package base + 2 (kept 3, renamed back), landing-page 2–3 (kept base, has more content), Sam Aguiar Landing Page Concepts v2 (1) (base has more files).
• sa-sidebar-option-b (1)/ renamed to sa-sidebar-option-b/.

Pass 2, deep audit

• 46 .DS_Store files, 2 Word lock files, 1 Thumbs.db staged to deep_junk/ (49 files total).
• 40 empty directories removed via rmdir across 3 passes.
• 3 zero-byte files staged.
• 3 orphan top-level staging folders (exact_dupes/, stray_project_files/, zips_already_extracted/) consolidated into _to_delete_2026-05-09/ so all staging is in two predictable spots.

Pass 3, root organization

All 182 remaining loose files moved into Sam's fixed Downloads categories using _loose-2026-05-19/ sub-buckets in each destination so the moves are obvious and reversible. Category breakdown:
