It is a story about the journey of integration in a new place - about the possibility of seeing and wanting a future again. A new country, a new language, and a new city become a kind of character the protagonists must learn to connect with. The language of contemporary circus becomes a bridge — a way to build dialogue with anyone, to reconnect with oneself, and to discover a sense of belonging in a foreign environment. Upsala-Circus is preparing a carnival together with children from Syria, Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Russia. Yet this is not a story about the carnival as a spectacle, but about the transformations it sets in motion. It is about people meeting each other — about the possibility of being heard and understood despite linguistic and cultural distances.
