1. Introduction

The challenge

For this module, I worked with an upcoming Indonesia furniture brand focusing on unique design, sustainability and fair trade. The challenge was to help them set a go-to Europe market strategy with a primary focus in the Scandinavian market. The outcome includes the answers and recommendations for questions such as:

The process

The learning course at Hyper Island follows a classic double diamond process. There are three key phases in the course including:

<aside> 🚀 1. DISCOVERY Applying tools for collecting research results and data related to customers, competitors and markets. Applying tools for evaluating and analysing research results and data related to customers, competitors and markets.

<aside> 💡 2. IDEATION Apply relevant tools and methods to design user-centric, digital business solutions based on understanding of customer needs. Findings of new business opportunities

<aside> ✂️ 3. PROTOTYPE Implement quick prototypes, concepts and solutions.

</aside>

The process was combined with a lean approach using <assumption - validation> process to keep to a low volume of waste and save time. Phase 3 prototype was focusing on validation of ideas to maximize learnings rather than presenting with a polished assumption.
