dividend-cli is an Indian dividend research tool for NSE stocks, REITs, and INVITs.

It started as a command-line tool and now also includes a local web UI. The goal is simple: make dividend research faster, clearer, and less misleading than typical yield-only screeners.

  2. Open the UI using the dividend-cli serve.
  3. Follow the instructions in the web UI for updating data.
  4. Check the Overview page.
  5. Open the Screener page.
  6. Shortlist interesting stocks.
  7. Open stock detail pages and review quality, growth, splits, and fundamentals.

What problem it solves

Most dividend screeners focus too heavily on current yield.

That creates a problem.

A stock can look attractive on yield alone while hiding serious issues, such as the following:
