C4C is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical behavior and safeguarding in all aspects of its work. To ensure accountability, the following disciplinary procedures apply to any staff, volunteers, or representatives who breach this Code of Conduct:
1. Reporting a Breach
- Any suspected or observed breach of the Code of Conduct should be reported immediately to the Safeguarding Focal Person safeguarding@citizens4change.net, or to the line manager, or anonymously through this form.
- Reports can be made confidentially, and C4C enforces a strict non-retaliation policy to protect whistleblowers.
2. Initial Assessment
- Upon receiving a report, an initial assessment will be conducted to determine the nature and severity of the alleged breach.
- If the breach involves harm or risk to children or vulnerable adults, it will be referred to the appropriate authorities immediately.
3. Investigation Process
- If the assessment finds sufficient grounds, a formal investigation will be initiated.
- The investigation will be conducted by an internal committee or external experts, depending on the severity and complexity of the case.
- The accused individual will be informed of the allegations and given an opportunity to respond.
4. Disciplinary Actions
Based on the findings of the investigation, disciplinary actions may include:
- Verbal or written warning for minor breaches.
- Mandatory training or corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- Suspension pending further investigation for more serious breaches.
- Termination of employment or contract for severe breaches.
- Referral to law enforcement in cases involving legal violations or harm to children and vulnerable adults.
5. Appeal Process
- Individuals have the right to appeal disciplinary decisions by submitting a formal request within 72 hours by email to the director kate@citizens4change.net.
