EP defines disability as any condition of the body or mind that makes it more difficult for the person with the condition to do certain activities and interact with the world around them.
We chose to use identity first language in this piece, however some people with disabilities prefer person first language. It is important to ask which of the two people prefer and to adjust your language appropriately.
