Dionysus, a cunning henchman and loyal follower of Cronos, deceives Halia and Zeus by drugging them to deliver them to his master. However, his loquacious nature ends up divulging critical information to their enemies.
The god of fertility, ecstasy, and wine, Dionysus is the son of Zeus and Semele. Living in perpetual revelry, he embodies fertility, wine, madness, and ecstasy. Yet, his allegiance lies with Cronos instead of his father, Zeus.
Driven by her jealous and vengeful nature, Hera discovered Zeus's affair with Semele and, pretending friendship, plotted to prevent Dionysus's birth. Succumbing to Hera's cunning manipulation, Semele demanded proof of Zeus's divine powers, but his wrathful response led to her fiery demise. To shield Dionysus from Hera, Zeus entrusted him to the Rain Nymphs and Silenus on Mount Nysa.
During his youth, Dionysus learned the art of viticulture, inadvertently creating wine. Fueled by a deep-seated hatred towards his father for killing his mother and abandoning him on Mount Nysa, he aligns himself with Cronos rather than his father, Zeus.
