This article covers how to spend money safely online using digital and secure payment methods. Digital payments are an alternative to physical cash or card and provide a convienent way to make purchases.

Samsung wallet

Samsung wallet allows you to store payment information (such as a credit/debit card) on your device to make purchases.

• *Note: Apple Pay is the samsung wallet for apple products

1. Open the Samsung Wallet app or download it from the Galaxy Store.
2. Follow the prompts to add your card (you can scan it with your camera).
3. Verify your card with your bank.
4. Tap your phone at a supported payment terminal to pay.
5. Set up a security method to protect your wallet.
6. You can also add membership cards, gift cards, digital keys, health passes, and boarding passes to your wallet

Venmo and Cashapp

Venmo and Cashapp are applications that allow you to send and receive money between users. This is a very useful resource to split bills amongst a group, paying friends back, or accepting payments for services.

To use Venmo or Cash App:

1. Download the app from your phone’s app store.
2. Sign up with your phone number or email.
3. Link your bank account or card.
4. Search for your friend by username, phone number, or email.
5. Enter the amount and tap send.
