- Have a strong intuition to rely on, gained through experience and a deep understanding of the digital marketing landscape - you won’t always have the data needed to inform your decisions and this is where real industry knowledge comes into play.
- Be genuinely curious and passionate about all things digital marketing - the space is constantly changing and you need to have the interest, passion, and hunger to ask questions and learn more about new marketing techniques, tools, and methods.
- Have impeccable social skills to understand how people communicate to ensure you create the most engaging content for our audience/community, and to produce excellent written content (blogs/newsletters/captions).
- Have a strong creative eye coupled with good creative design skills to repurpose content into different formats and deliver eye catching (scroll stopping) visual content
- Have strong analytical skills to both set up and understand the outcome of social media campaigns, advertisements and Google Analytics, and also interpret and analyse the data to help you make impactful decisions.
- Have impeccable attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and keep pushing each one along while still executing day-to-day tasks.
- Be comfortable with technology and willing to learn and implement new technology/tools to improve Africa’s Pocket’s Digital Marketing.
- Be able and willing to adapt - ****be willing to stay on top of trends + changes in technology and take the initiative to change strategies, tactics and beliefs to ensure our digital marketing meets the needs of Africa’s Pocket.
✅ Role and Responsibilities:
- Ideation, creation and execution of monthly, quarterly and yearly end-to-end Digital Marketing strategies for Africa’s Pocket
- Creation of marketing and promotional material for use across Africa’s Pocket’s social media platforms and website to drive traffic and generate leads for our products and services
- Developing and executing social media campaigns for our products and services, to ensure sales goals are met and exceeded
- Repurposing existing content to create highly shareable and engaging content that drives leads and traffic to our website
- Developing and executing Africa’s Pocket’s online and social media advertising strategy based on budget, target demographic, and desired outcome. This includes creation of Facebook/Instagram Ads and influencer marketing management
- Search Engine Optimization
- Executing our SEO strategy
- Optimization of all digital marketing content for search engines
- Conducting keyword research
- Researching the latest trends in SEO, digital marketing and content marketing
- Online community management
- Building and cementing Africa’s Pocket’s online presence through social media management, creation of blogs and newsletters, and email marketing management
- Engaging with Africa’s Pocket audience via our digital channels including email and social media (existing customers, potential customers, investors) e.g. through managing engaging segments on our channels, curating meetups and working with like-minded partners
- Engaging with customers to ensure we’re meeting our commitment to deliver world-class products, and catching any slips so we have an opportunity to rectify them
- Adapting client pitches by researching and synthesising core client needs and then communicating them to Business Development Leads
