Difficulty

The game features a wave based progression system where the longer the player survives, the harder the game will continue to become. As rounds progress, enemies will appear in greater numbers and with increasing variety.

Initial Difficulty in Crystal Chaos is selected in the options menu. The three initial difficulties are Gloomy, Obscure, Abyss.

Gloomy - Easy

Reduces Difficulty for new players by slowing down enemy scaling progression. This is the easiest mode.

Gloomy is designed to allow the player to have more freedom to explore and worry less about the enemies.

Obscure - Normal

This is the default difficulty! Be careful of the enemies lurking in the dark.

Obscure is the Aggressiveness games base difficulty and how it is meant to be played.

Abyss - Hard

For veterans of Horde Shooters. There is no turning back, the caves will consume you.
