I have prepared my opinionated view on a few business models. They are sorted by the models I personally find most promising.

Here is the quick overview:

Did I miss a business model you would like to see covered? Let me know at [email protected].

Affiliate (★★★★☆)

You earn money by sending clicks to another website.

For example, you use Amazon's affiliate program (Amazon Associates) to earn a commission whenever somebody purchases a product on Amazon after reading a product review on your website.

Operations

Relatively limited. You just need to set up the affiliate program and get your links ready.

Scalability

Pretty good. Not bound to offline locations, most work can be done virtually, very low marginal costs of distribution.

Working Capital

Not an issue if you don't produce too much content upfront.

Migration

Relatively easy to migrate as you just need to switch the links of the seller to yours.

Other Remarks

A great model, if you find reliable affiliate partners with good margins (and cookie windows).
