Dice App

The Dice App provides a quick and convenient way to roll dice using standard notation. It features a keypad for easy formula building, a history of your recent rolls, and a system to save your favorite formulas. Every roll made in the app is also sent to the main Foundry VTT chat log for everyone to see.

Accessing the App:

Tap the Dice icon (typically a d20 die 🎲) on the Home Screen.

Main Screen (The Roller):

• Display Area: The top section features a large display for the total result of your last roll and a smaller input field above it where you can type or build your dice formula.
• Keypad: Use the keypad to construct your dice formula quickly.
  • Dice Buttons: (d4, d6, d8, etc.) add the corresponding die type to your formula.
  • Number Buttons: (0-9) add numbers for dice quantity or modifiers.
  • Operator Buttons: (+, -) add mathematical operators.
  • Modifier Buttons: (<, >, =, !) add success conditions or exploding dice modifiers to your formula.
  • Control Buttons: Use C to clear the entire formula and ⌫ (Backspace) to delete the last character.
• Rolling: Once your formula is ready, tap the large Roll button (🎲) to execute the roll. A brief rolling animation will play in the result display before showing the final total.

Favorites System:

• Save a Favorite: After typing a formula, tap the star icon (⭐) next to the input field to save it to your favorites list.
• Quick Access: Tapping on the formula input field will open a dropdown list of your saved favorites. Tapping any item in this list will instantly load it into the input field.
• Manage Favorites: Tap the folder icon (📂) in the top right header to open the full Favorites screen. Here you can view all your saved formulas, load one by tapping it, or delete one by tapping the trash icon (🗑️) next to it.

Roll History:

• Tap the history icon (📜) in the header to view your recent rolls.
• Each entry in the list shows the formula you rolled, a detailed breakdown of the individual dice results, and the final total.

Foundry Chat Log Integration:

• All rolls made through the Dice App are automatically sent as a public message in the main Foundry VTT chat log. The chat card will show your character's name, the formula, the detailed results, and the total, ensuring the GM and other players can see your roll.
