About Hyperspell
Hyperspell is the memory and context layer for AI agents. We give agents persistent memory by connecting to user data — so they remember users, learn over time, and act on real context instead of
hallucinating. We're backed by Y Combinator, serve customers like Hobbes, Intently, and Scale Agentic, and integrate with 46 data sources out of the box.
Agents without memory are demos. We're building the infrastructure that makes them real.
The Role
You'll be the first dedicated developer-facing hire at Hyperspell. You'll own technical content, community, and events — everything between our product and the developers who use it.
This isn't a "write blog posts and attend conferences" role. You'll be building real integrations, debugging with developers in Discord, designing hackathons, creating tutorial content, and being the
person our developer community knows by name.
What You'll Do
- Write and maintain integration guides, tutorials, and technical blog posts — with working code, not hand-waving
- Build demo apps and reference implementations using Hyperspell with LangChain, CrewAI, MCP, and other agent frameworks
- Be the daily Hyperspell presence in developer communities — Discord, Reddit, Hacker News, X
- Design and run hackathons, developer events, and office hours
- Represent Hyperspell at AI/agent conferences and meetups
- Manage relationships with builder-influencers and ecosystem partners
- Surface developer feedback to engineering — what's confusing, what's missing, what's broken
- Contribute to docs, SDK examples, and developer experience improvements
What We're Looking For
- You've built and shipped projects using AI agents, LLMs, or related infrastructure — not just read about them
- You write clear, technically accurate content that developers actually want to read
- You're already active in developer communities — we can see your Discord messages, Reddit comments, or forum posts
- You're comfortable coding in Python and/or TypeScript — you can build a working demo, not just describe one
- You've created technical content before — blog posts, tutorials, videos, or open source docs
- You can speak at events, record demos, and do live coding without a script
- You thrive with autonomy — you'll set your own priorities and execute without a manager
Bonus
- Experience with memory, RAG, or retrieval systems specifically
- Existing audience (X, YouTube, newsletter) in the AI/dev space
- Previous DevRel or developer advocacy experience at a startup
- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol)
- You've organized hackathons or developer events before
What We Offer
- Competitive salary + meaningful early-stage equity
- Budget for content creation, events, and community building
- Conference and travel budget
- Direct access to founders and engineering — your feedback shapes the product
- The opportunity to build the developer community for a category-defining infrastructure company from scratch
