Deskit ("the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and access through the Deskit to-do list application, how we use and handle that information, and your rights regarding your personal data. By using Deskit, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information We Collect and Purpose

• Calendar and Reminders Data: Deskit requires access to your iOS device’s Calendar and Reminders. With your permission, the app reads your calendar events, to-do reminders, and related information (such as event titles, dates, times, and notes). Purpose: This information is used exclusively to display, manage, and remind you of your schedules and tasks within the app. Without this access, Deskit cannot provide its core to-do list functionality.
• No Personal Account Data: Deskit does not require you to create an account or provide personal identifying information like your name or email to use the app. We do not collect contact information or any other personal data through the app itself. Any data you enter (e.g., task names or notes) stays on your device as part of your calendar/reminder entries.

Data Storage and Processing

All data accessed by Deskit (your calendar and reminder information) is processed locally on your device. No information is sent to or stored on any of our servers. Deskit does not upload your calendar or reminders data to the cloud beyond what your device’s own services (like iCloud or other calendar sync services you use) already do. We do not have our own database or server for storing user information.

Because data is kept on your device, if you uninstall the app or revoke the app’s access to Calendar/Reminders, any data managed through Deskit remains in your device’s native Calendar or Reminders apps (or in your iCloud/other accounts if those services are in use) and is not retained by us. We recommend that you protect your device and use any built-in security features (like device passcodes) to keep your calendar and reminder data secure.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not share any of your personal data or calendar/reminder information with any third parties. Deskit does not sell, rent, or provide your data to outside parties for marketing or any other purposes. Since we do not collect or store personal information on our servers, there is no personal data to share with third parties. (Note: Your calendar events and reminders may be synced through Apple’s iCloud or other services if you use them, but that data sharing is controlled by you and those service providers, not by Deskit.)

Location Data

Deskit does not access, collect, or use your location information. The app’s functionality does not require any GPS or location-based services.

Your Rights and Choices

Because Deskit does not store personal data on its servers, your data remains under your control on your device. Even so, we recognize you have rights regarding your information:

• Access and Edit: You can view and edit your calendar and reminder entries at any time through Deskit or your device’s native Calendar and Reminders apps. This means you have full access to the information used by the app.
• Deletion: To delete any data, you can remove events or reminders from your calendar using Deskit or your iOS Calendar/Reminders app, and those changes will take effect on your device (and any synced accounts like iCloud). If you wish to remove Deskit’s access entirely, you can revoke the calendar/reminder permissions in your device settings or uninstall the app. Deskit does not retain any of your information after such actions since no data is stored on our side.
• Revoking Consent: You can disable Deskit’s access to Calendar and Reminders at any time via your iOS settings. This will stop the app from reading your data (note that without these permissions, the app’s main features will be limited or unavailable).
• Inquiries and Data Requests: If you have any questions about what data Deskit accesses or you believe Deskit has inadvertently collected personal information beyond what is described (for example, if you contacted us and provided information), you have the right to inquire about this. Please contact us at our email, and we will respond to address your concerns. Since we do not store user data, typical requests such as data export or deletion from our servers do not apply; however, we will assist you with any questions or issues regarding your data in the app.

Children’s Privacy (Age Limit)

Deskit is available for users of all ages. We do not intentionally collect any personal data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because the app does not ask for personal information, children can use the app without providing personal data. No age restrictions apply to the use of Deskit. However, if you are a minor (for example, under 18), please use the app with the permission of a parent or guardian, especially when it comes to any in-app purchases or subscriptions. If a parent or guardian believes that a minor has provided personal information to us (for instance, via a support email), they should contact us, and we will promptly delete any such information.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
