Background
- I worked as a UX Design intern at Upstox for about 3 months and this was the project that I worked on from end-to-end, under the guidance of a Lead Designer.
- Timeline: 3 weeks
- Upstox caters to both traders and investors in its userbase and hence even if some features benefit only one segment of the users, it’s implemented given it has enough merit.
What to solve for?
Widgets make the lives of investors much simpler and since Upstox was looking to acquire more users in this userbase, widgets were needed to sway the wind in its favor. Hence the problem statement was to:
Design the first version of Android Widgets for Upstox.
Objectives:
- To improve standing in the market amongst the competitors.
- To increase user engagement by providing an extra touchpoint
- To provide a simple, easy to use view of investments
