Additional Thoughts:

I thought of the idea to record this episode after I created a daily routine for me and my daughter. I realized how much less exhausting everyday life with her is when I’m not having to constantly make decisions and always have a schedule to look back on when I need it. This schedule isn’t a requirement. It’s just here to help prevent some of that mental fatigue that comes with constant daily decisions while being at home all day with a toddler.

Although this routine didn’t solve all of my problems (since most of them come from my own brain wiring), it did help by giving my a guide. Before the routine, I would spend every day being exhausted and overwhelmed. All I could think about while my toddler was awake was “Is it nap time yet?” Not because I don’t love spending time with her, but because consistently spending every single day exactly the same but with no real guidance was debilitating. I HAD to find a way to fix this because I was becoming so burnt out on motherhood. Spending time with my toddler felt like a chore. And I realized that this was because I am someone who isn’t fulfilled by motherhood only. I have to have my own life outside of just being a mom. So, I used Chat GPT to help me create the schedule to work with my brain and my toddler’s current development, while also being flexible and easy-to-follow.
