In today’s insight episode, I talk about the small, ordinary things that help me feel human again — especially on days when everything feels a little heavy or disconnected. This episode isn’t about fixing yourself or going deep; it’s about noticing the tiny moments that gently bring you back to yourself and remind you that you’re already okay, right here.
I decided to make this episode because it relates deeply to my current reality. As an exhausted (mostly) sahm and a hsp, it can sometimes feel like burnout is my default state. I struggle to keep up on a daily basis, and I have been recently struggling with thinking of ideas, creating outlines, recording, editing, naming, and making a description for podcast episodes while also having a million other tasks that come along with being a parent who works part-time. So, I decided to just be honest instead. Recording and releasing this episode has been so healing for me. Because it’s a reminder not only to me, but to anyone who listens to it, that taking a pause is not only allowed, but is necessary for growing as a person.
As someone who thrives on self-growth and self-discovery, I can sometimes unintentionally burn myself out due to my overwhelming excitement to learn more about myself and grow my emotional maturity and overall mental health. Which is an amazing quality to have, but I, just like so many other over-achievers, usually forget that my body needs rest, even when my brain craves more. And that shows up as extreme burnout that I have yet to recover from.
So, this episode is meant to help you feel less alone. To remind you that rest is productive.
