Additional Thoughts:

I planned on making this episode last week, but I ended up using last week to talk about something that I was really excited about (confidence) and decided to save this topic for this week.

I’ve been wanting to make a podcast episode about being a highly sensitive person for quite some time, but I needed to really know what being an HSP means to me, personally. Being an HSP isn’t just one aspect of my life. It’s woven into everything I do and everything I care about. Every part of me is connected: my love for motherhood, my passion for my podcast, my obsession with fashion, my love for ships (the couples, not the boats loll), my scrapbooking habit, my writing, my connection to nature, and my drive for self-improvement. It all comes back to one thing: being highly sensitive. It’s not just a random trait; it’s the heart of who I am. That’s what makes self-acceptance feel so real and so important to me. Embracing my sensitivity has helped me see the beauty in all the things I love, and it reminds me that being myself is truly enough.

So, this episode stems from personal experience.

Journal Prompt of the Week:

Write down all of the sensory stimuli you are currently receiving. Your body, your emotions, your thoughts, your mood, lighting in the room, noises you hear, the fabric of your clothes, anything that you notice.
