Demystifying Learning Frameworks: The P21 Framework

The P21 framework was created to combine a set of competencies that focuses on 21st Century Skills. The core academic subjects serve as a vehicle for teaching life and career skills, learning, and innovation skills, and information and media skills. The framework stems from the belief that children need the proper opportunities and aventues to gain skills for careers. Furthermore, the foundation believes students must be able to integrate academic core classes with activities that promote the 4C's (creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration).

The framework also contains support sytems designed to give teachers tools to influence student outcomes. This includes guidelines for professional development and assessments.
