This page helps define and understand a powerful and key element when setting up your Decidim platform.
Scopes can be understood as territories or topics that your Decidim Platform can have. Scopes can have sub-scopes that allow them to go one level deeper.
For example, in the case of the city of Barcelona, the scopes are the districts of the city, and the sub-scopes are district neighborhoods. The scopes can also be differentiated by types, so that they can be configured, for example, by thematic as well as territorial scopes.
Scopes can be used in most components and spaces of your Decidim platform.
To configure Scope on the Decidim platform, go to the Settings menu and then the Scopes menu in the admin sidebar menu. A list will appear with the existing scopes if any:
There you can create a new scope and configure its type
