- Always draw out a structure
- Have an extremely logical approach
- Read all of the information in the question stems, as it is really important to pick up on every detail
The Golden Clue and Follow-through Method:
- UCAT writers often give a golden clue which you should start with and work backwards
- In order to find it, look for superlatives
Written Logical Puzzles:
- Approach these questions in an appropriate structure
- It is helpful to draw a table and keep filling in information from the question to work out the answer
- Apply the Golden Clue Method
- Scan the text for a specific fact
- Fully read the stem of the question as the key bits of information will be here
Mathematical Reasoning Puzzles:
- This is a type of logical puzzle
- Write out and create equations from the question to help you solve them
- Use the equation and skills such as substitutions and simultaneous equations
