Think self-service or freemium-led companies like Figma, Notion, Freshworks, and Slack. We do this by helping companies recognize signals across their - product engagement, sales, billing, and marketing data.

Someone who believes data is a competitive advantage in SaaS products. You have a product bent of mind. You are passionate to work with our customers to drive business outcomes. You see yourself building and leading a team over the next year. You're hungry, ready to hustle, and keen to learn!

What will you get to work on? 🏗️

As a founding data scientist, you will:

• Work with the founders in co-creating the product with early believers (read: customers)
• Work with customers to drive business outcomes. Examples:
  • What are the series of product engagement events that lead to a sale?
  • Of a user base of millions, who represents our customer's ideal customer personas (ICP)?
  • What is the next best action for targeting such accounts?
• Work with product, engineering, and 100s of billions of data points (yes! you read that right) to build the best possible experience for customers
• Build and own a culture of best in class data science within Toplyne

What do we expect from you? 🙌🏻

• Strong first principles
• Hustle! We're young, lean, and in our early days. You'd have to set up your own shop, work with design customers to find generalizable use cases, and build them out.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and ship new features
• Atleast 2-4 years of experience

What do we not expect from you? 🙅🏻‍♂️

• To develop your own data pipelines - we'll have data engineers specifically working on this
• To spend your days cleaning and preparing data - the nature of our problem statement affords us the ability to access clean and structured information
• To bleed blood sweat and tears to never see the light of production! Data science is core to our product and will be in production from day 1
