This onboarding plan will walk you through your first month — from gaining access to shipping your first transformation.

🛠️ Preboarding (Before Day 1)

• [ ] Access to: GitHub, Slack, Airflow, dbt, BigQuery/Snowflake, Notion
• [ ] Shared architecture overview doc
• [ ] Added to data & engineering team meetings
• [ ] Assigned onboarding buddy (ideally from data team)

📅 Week 1 – Environment & Architecture

🎯 Goal: Understand our data infrastructure, tooling, and team structure.

• [ ] Intro call with Data Lead + Engineers
• [ ] Meet with Analytics, Product, and DevOps
• [ ] Read “How data flows here” (internal doc or Notion page)
• [ ] Set up your local dev + dbt / Airflow environments
• [ ] Access staging warehouse and schema viewer
• [ ] Run a sample ETL pipeline
• [ ] Review current DAGs (Airflow) or jobs (Fivetran, dbt, etc.)
• [ ] Review data modeling conventions and folder structure
