Project Overview DEXA is a platform focused on accelerating tech and Web3 talent across Africa.

During a 3-week immersive learning program, I was selected to intern as a Project Manager by serving as the team lead for a cohort of 120 students taking a project management course.

The experience was designed to simulate a real-world PM environment, requiring hands-on coordination, stakeholder communication, and daily operational oversight of student learning activities.

Key Responsibilities

➜ Cohort Leadership & Management

Served as the central coordinator and team lead for a cohort of 120 students, ensuring smooth onboarding, engagement, and course progression throughout the program.

➜ Communication & Support

Facilitated communication using WhatsApp, Telegram, and Google Meet. Answered questions, resolved issues, and supported learners in real-time to improve learning outcomes.

➜ Daily Task Monitoring

Sent structured daily reminders and check-ins to motivate learners to complete their modules, reinforcing accountability and consistency.

➜ Meeting Coordination

Organized and led virtual meetings to discuss weekly goals, clarify doubts, and encourage peer-to-peer collaboration within the group.

➜ Progress Tracking & Follow-up

Monitored student engagement and followed up individually with less active members to ensure no one was left behind.
