Balazs | Veri/kycDAO, [Mar 12, 2022 at 4:11:35 AM]: Hey Folks,

I just wanted to circle back to one topic that is dear to me and would like to state it.

We should, under any circumstances, not put PII on any chain. [hash of PII is PII]

Could we say that this principle is supported by everyone in the group and any effort we will work/explore here will follow this core principle?

Joshua Tan, [Mar 12, 2022 at 4:43:48 AM]: I think this is a good rule of thumb. But why is it bad for PII to be on-chain, generally?

Is PII currently being posted on-chain for any real use-cases? What about much more controlled/specialized chains like Chronicled with their own KYC?
