The Preferences option in the taskbar dropdown menu is where you can customize Lifeline to suit your personal workflow style.

Below an overview of the different sections and what each of the options can do for you. Items with a ✅ are turned on by default for new users, all others are switched off.

Your Lifeline

Show your lifeline:

• ✅ Always: Shows a 24-hour Lifeline at the top of your screen when you’re not in session.
• During sessions and meetings: Only shows the Lifeline session progress bar when you’re in a session or meeting.
• Only on mouse-over: Only shows Lifeline when you hold your mouse cursor just below the macOS menu bar.

Time format: display 24 hour (✅ ), am/pm, or day phases as time units on your Lifeline.

What to display on your Lifeline?

• ✅ 🍅 Pomodoros: Shows every Pomodoro you earned on your Lifeline.
• 🏷️ Session emoji labels: Shows the emoji labels you give to sessions on your Lifeline.
• Nothing: Choose this to give your Lifeline a clean look.

Customize your activity colors: Change the colors of different activity types on your Lifeline.

Lifeline bar thickness: Change the height of your Lifeline (measured in pixels).

Opacity of future events on your Lifeline: Adjust the the color intensity of future events on your Lifeline (synced from your Calendar).

🤖 Automation

✅ Launch Lifeline on startup. Automatically launch Lifeline when you turn on your computer. This is highly recommend so that Lifeline captures all your time spent at the screen.
