What is this?

Overall delighted to be using CA again! This log is just where we’ll capture any times that we weren’t completely exuberant. Please don’t read it as a list of gripes though; we’re sharing only in the spirit of learning faster through feedback!

If you’re reading this from CA, please feel free to add comments to any specific item if you’d like to discuss :) Or email [email protected].

What’s the feedback?

  1. Loved it, but the “what are you trying to achieve with CA” survey screen appeared twice. Once upon first login (yay!) but again after I did my first data import. I wonder if it’s because I updated my personal info in that upload and it somehow reset?

    <Didn’t get a screenshot>

  2. The employee data import validation showed warnings that the rows of CA instructions from the template would be ignored. No biggie, but I wonder if it’s possible to code the CA instructions so they are ignored automatically (e.g. via a specific leading string like “***”?)

  3. I loaded hierarchical reporting lines in the data, and the dossiers all show correct managers and direct reports. But upon clicking 1-on-1s it tells me "You don’t have any direct reports or manager assigned in Culture Amp - Contact your administrator and update your details to start using 1-on-1s”. Not much help when I am the administrator!

  4. Clicking the account dashboard before running reports, all the components read with Errors “Sorry, it looks like we’re having trouble loading your data. Please check back soon. If the problem persists, contact [email protected].” Given we haven’t actually run the underlying surveys, would it be better to guide a user on how to gather the required data? Or at least have placeholder tiles to make the empty state more useful and inviting…

  5. Going to Feedback | Surveys | Engagement and then Clicking “Get trained up” takes you to the URL https://www.cultureamptraining.com/page/start-with-engagement, which gives a Page Not Found error.

  6. The hover text over Key Results says they “should have a due date”, but I can’t find a way of giving them one. Having key results with different due dates is important to us, as these are stepping stones towards the larger goal.

  7. Planning workflow would be easier with some additional goal Statuses (or I’d love to know how to code goals in these states):

    1. Draft - i.e. ready for someone to review
    2. Abandoned - i.e. not Accomplished but kept for historical posterity
    3. Needs attention - i.e. Not really on track (may be blocked, but also might just not be making sufficient progress…)

  8. I received a notification to upload employee data, when this step had been completed several days ago. I’m relatively sure this is because the support emails are not aware of system state, but in a sophisticated onboarding this step might have been skipped?

  9. Multiple team members struggled to find the save/submit button on 1-1s, not realising it was auto-saving.

  10. Our intuition was that agenda items from 1-1s that were not ticked off would be brought forward automatically but this didn’t occur.

  11. Folks don’t realise that leaving a 1-1 checkin in the middle of the chart makes it look like they haven’t responded, rather than the current position being their response.

  12. We really want the ability to comment per rating scale response in 1-1s to provide specific context, just like in an engagement survey!

  13. It would be great if the survey editor had a visible question count, and for bonus points, an estimated completion time

  14. This was very friendly but probably not quite what was intended:

  15. We reopened a survey and wanted to reclose it once one team member had the opportunity to submit, but couldn’t find a button to close - we had to reschedule. Minor point but would have been convenient.

  16. Navigating comments is crazy. Being able to look at them by factor or alongside quant results for a question would go a long way. E.g. “This negative comment is in relation to a question that had 80% positive responses is really useful context”
