This Location-Based Services Terms draft is prepared for Crople. It must be reviewed before public launch.
TO BE COMPLETED: legal entity name, location information manager/contact, address, effective date.
These terms explain how Crople provides location-based services and how user location information may be used for sports discovery, meetup planning, map features, session progress, safety, and service operation.
Crople may use location data to show nearby users or facilities, suggest areas, display maps, support meetup invitations, check session progress, help users find selected places, and improve service quality.
Location information is collected only when the user grants the required device permission and the app or OS allows collection. Users can withdraw permission through device settings. If permission is withdrawn, location-based features may be unavailable or less accurate.
Where required by law, Crople may keep records of location information use or provision for at least 6 months. Records may include user identifier, time, purpose, and service action, but should not expose more precise location data than necessary for evidence.
Crople may use providers such as Google Maps and Google Places to display maps, places, facility details, photos, routes, or geocoding results. Provider data may be inaccurate, delayed, incomplete, or changed by the provider.
Location features are not emergency services. Users remain responsible for real-world safety, travel decisions, venue suitability, and participation.
Location-related operational data is retained only as needed for service, legal, audit, safety, and abuse prevention purposes. Users may request account deletion, subject to retention required by law or dispute handling.
TO BE COMPLETED: location information manager/contact email, operator name, address.
