The text input is the primary way to talk to your AI growing advisor. You can describe what you’re seeing, ask a question, or log what you did today — all in plain conversational language.
At the bottom of every crop page is the input bar. Tap or click the text field — it shows a placeholder like “Tell me about your Tomatoes today…” — and start typing.
The field expands automatically as you type up to a comfortable maximum height. If you need more space, just keep typing — it scrolls internally.
On mobile: Tap the Send button (arrow icon, bottom right of the input bar).
On desktop:
This is shown as a reminder below the input bar: “Enter to send · Shift+Enter for new line”
The Send button is greyed out until you’ve typed something (or attached a photo).
If you’ve never chatted about a crop before, GrowLog shows three starter questions tailored to how old the crop is:
Tap any starter to send it immediately — no typing needed. These are just suggestions; you can always write your own message instead.
