Diary History in Chat — Viewing, Searching, and Following Up

Every chat session with your AI advisor is automatically saved as a diary entry. You can browse these past sessions, search them, and pick up where you left off — all without leaving the chat.

Opening the Diary Panel

In the input bar, tap the book icon (diary button) to open the diary panel. The button is only visible once you have at least one past session logged for that crop.

On desktop: the diary slides open as a sidebar on the right side of the screen, alongside the chat. You can drag the divider between the chat and the sidebar to resize them.

On mobile: the diary slides in from the right and overlays the chat. Tap anywhere on the dark area to the left to close it, or tap the × button in the top-right of the panel.

What Each Entry Shows

Diary entries are listed in reverse chronological order — newest first. Each entry shows:

• Date of the session
• Who logged it (display name, in shared gardens)
• Whether it was saved to your Google Sheet (shown as “✓ Saved to sheet” or “Not saved to sheet”)
• A two-line preview of your observation

Tap an entry to expand it and read the full session — your complete observation and the AI’s full response.

Searching Past Entries

At the top of the diary panel is a search bar. Type any word or phrase to filter the entries in real time.

The search looks across:

• Your observations (what you wrote)
• The AI’s advice (what the AI responded)
• The full session response
• The date (type a date like “2025-04-” to find all entries from April 2025)

If no entries match, you’ll see “No entries match your search.”
