The Basics

On BeyondNFT, developers can code and mint InteractiveNFTs directly in the browser.

However, it has quickly been seen that developers want more than just being able to code and mint.

They want to allow users / creators to use their code as a base to create something bigger and they wish to allow users to mint themselves the NFTs instead of having to create and sell "a finite product" directly.

This is why we introduce Factories.

What are Factories

Factories is a mechanism that allows developers to create reusable components, that users can mint from, this resulting in each of the NFT being an ERC721.

When you create factories, you define several things:

• max supply: how many times it can be used / 0 means infinite
• price: the fee users have to pay to use it / 0 means free
• royalties: if you want to get royalties from secondary sales of NFTs minted with your factory
• pause: if people can use it directly or not
• its type: the type of factory
