Create charts for data visualization.

Excel Charts

Excel allows the user to generate graphical representations of their data in the form of Charts. It includes options such as pie charts, bar graphs, and line graphs.

In Excel, charts can be inserted into a workbook file in two ways:

Creating a Chart

Click anywhere in the data for which you want to create a chart.

To plot specific data into a chart, you can also select the data.

  1. Select Insert > Charts > and the chart type you want. On the menu that opens, select the option you want.

  1. Choose the desired chart type from the drop-down menu.
  2. If you're not sure which type of chart to use, the Recommended Charts command will suggest several charts based on the source data.

  1. The chart will be placed on the same worksheet.

Move a chart to another worksheet

  1. Click anywhere in the chart. It will display the Chart Tools option on the ribbon
