Hello pre-addon-writers! In this tutorial we'll discuss how to create anki addon using trgkanki/addon_template boilerplate. Hope this guide helps!

In this tutorial, we'll create an addon caled case_insensitive_type_answer. Anki by default is case-sensitive on typed answer, but this addon makes it case-insensitive.

Prerequisites

• Some Python programming experience.
• Ability to read other's python code. You'll have to read Anki's code.
• (Optional, Recommended) Basic experience with git.

Addon examples

• Case-insensitive typed answer (Easy) This example shows how to patch existing Anki code. This code alone doesn't require a full boilerplate like addon_template, but it's a good start anyway
