Option 1: Draw a boundary manually before defining a project.

1. Click “Draw Boundary”

1. Draw your boundary. The boundary drawing tool works the same as for any other shape in Giraffe.

2. Finish or save

   

   Click Done to finish editing

   

   Or Click Save project as to create a new project.

Option 2: You can set the boundary to a map geometry.

1. Click “Draw Boundary”

   

2. Right click on a map element and click 'Set' on the contextual menu.

3. You can merge multiple geometries into one boundary by right clicking on them and clicking 'Merge' on the contextual menu.

4. Finish or save

Click Done to finish editing

Or Click Save project as to create a new project.

Option 3: Use Lens to select vector polygons

1. Click the 3 dots to the right of the layer name. Select “Open Lens Controls”

2. Click any layer shape on the currently-Lensed layer with Lens Controls open.

   A panel appears in the right-hand dock that displays that shape’s information.

   Use Ctrl + Click to select multiple shapes.

1. Add shapes to projects

Click “Add to new project” to create a new project with that polygon as the boundary.

You can choose to open that project now or wait until later.

With multiple polygons selected, click “Add all to new project’ to create a new project with a boundary that encompasses the outmost perimeter of all shapes selected.

Note, only the properties from the first selected parcel will be applied to the project.

Option 4: Create a boundary using Site Search by Regrid

1. Add lots to selection based on project criteria
2. Click “Create New project”
3. A project boundary will be generated based on the selected lots' outer boundary.
