Create a Contact

There are (2) ways to create a contact in our system: they’re either part of a company / business / contractor or an individual homeowner.

Case #1: Contact belongs to a Company

First check if the company that the contact belongs to exists in our system.

Does the Company exist in our system?

When the caller belongs to a company, you must first check if the company exists in the database.

At the bottom of the Company Details page, click on the [Create Contact] button.

Enter all the contact information that you’ve gathered into the fields. Click on [Create] to save it to the database. The system will automatically take you to the Contact Details page, where you can proceed to create a project.

<aside> 👉 Tip: When you type in any of the fields while searching for a company and a set of options show up underneath it, that means that those companies already exist in the system. See an example below. This applies to Company Name, Address and Phone when searching for a company OR when creating a new company. {SHOW a screenshot of this in action, both in search for company or create a company}

Case #2: Contact is Residential Homeowner / Individual

When a contact doesn’t belong to a company, which are usually only residential homeowners, you need to create a contact without any connection to a company.

Go to the “Contacts” tab and then click on the [Create Contact] button to the right of the search fields to go to the Create Contact page.

Enter all the contact information that you’ve gathered into the fields. Click on [Create] to save it to the database. The system will automatically take you to the Contact Details page, where you can proceed to create a project.
